This is my 1st try in building a 3D printer from scratch. It is a serious work in progress, I will eventually put the blender file on github. I will put it on github faster if someone want to co design this.
Updated in many ways, still work in progress
Here you can see it move:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbOPf_2Wtac
The goal:
-Serviceable hot end on the front over the support
-Annealing on the build plate
-Zone controlled heated bed ~900W
-E3D volcano, dual and/or Diamond head
Waiting for deliveries:
- 12x600mm Y and Z guides
- brass/graphite bushings
- 500W 24V PSU (wide input)
- steel backed GT2 belts
To design:
- Front brace to prevent torsion of motor mounts
- Octoprint display and C2/Pi enclosure
- Z axis support for hollow stepper and ball lead screw
To fix:
- longer X axis shafts going trough the support for more stability
Tested and working
-Closed loop Nema23 XY axis
-Titanium shaft for X gantry
-Rum
