My wife was complaining that her watering can spout- the part with the holes in it that makes the water "sprinkle" had a hole rusted in it, making it not "sprinkle" worth a darn.
Out come the calipers and FreeCAD, and a few hours later: voila! New sprinkler doodad for the watering can.
I made this one on my PrintrBot Simple Metal using a 100% fill density with 4 shells (for strength). Print bed at 80c and SmartBuy gray ABS extruded at 250c. A little AquaNet Super Hold hair spray on the Kapton tape and it came out solid and nice and flat. It even sprinkled correctly on the first test. Woot.
Note: The threads came out a little sloppy- I printed this without support and the threads might need a little support. YMMV.
Also note: I've included the FreeCAD source file with the STL so you can do whatever you want with it. Have big fun.
