I did not use supports but the bottom of the watering can turning pretty rough, same with the lower half of the spout, so you can try using supports to see if it turns out any better. Just know that the watering can should still be able to print without supports, if you are willing to give up a little bit of the print quality
I did not paint this thing, I printed in black PLA. I would recommend coating the watering can in epoxy, especially if you decide to paint it, but it is not required for the watering can to work. Coating the can with epoxy will probably make it last longer if you also use PLA plastic because PLA is biodegradable.
Print right side up, the STL file might have the watering can upside down, I couldn't get it right side up in the file, so you will need to flip it in your slicing software.
