WE Scar bolt catch fix

Hi, I ran into an issue with my GBBR.
I bought a WE SCAR L and right out of the box the bolt catch didn’t lock back when the magazine was empty. Since the gun was brand new, I didn’t want to use glue to shim the gap between the magazine follower and the bolt catch.

So I designed this small part to fix the problem. It fits onto the bolt catch and the magazine follower pushes it upward. The top and right side are very thin so the bolt won’t hit it while cycling. Because of that thinness, you have to print it on a resin 3D printer. It fits very well; if you have small hands you can install it through the magazine well, but it’s easier if you field-strip the gun first. I also shimmed the bolt catch mount with standard AEG shims to remove any wobble.

I used standard resin and it works fine. The best thing is you can print several of these and bring spare ones to a game. If one breaks, you can replace it in minutes.

Also check that it doesn’t cause the bolt to lock back when there are BBs
