I mount my webcam and lighting to the wall. This allows me to tighten the 1/4"x20 screw against the camera without twisting up the USB cable. If you have a webcam with ¼"x20 threads allowing it to mount to photography equipment like tripods, this could work for you! I have not tried this on nice photography equipment. If you plan to use this for a DSLR or Mirrorless camera or for professional lighting, please bear in mind that professional equipment is both heavy and expensive, and I can
