Jig for cutting shims out of scrap wood on you table saw. Shims are used to stabilize pieces of wood when working on the on a machine or to plumb and level frames and surfaces. Wood is a living material that can never be perfectly dimensioned. Shims are wedged in small gaps, either temporarily or permanently to level and secure the piece.

The stl contained two pieces you will need to separate in order to print. The bottom piece is the sled that slots into the sled channel on your table saw. The top piece slots into the sled and clamps down a standard 2x4 block of wood.

The sled is set up for a Triton Workcenter table saw module. It positions the block of wood right up against the saw blade. For other saws you will need to move the piece that slots into your Saw's sled channel and resize it so it matches the size of your channel. The sled takes up the entire print bed of a LulzBot Taz 6. Trying to break up the model to print on smaller beds is not recommended.
