Westy Vent Flange

This is a ring that fits the kitchen vent of a 2004/2005 Airstream Sprinter Westfalia camper. It allows for the installation of a mosquito net and allows you to plug the hole to avoid draft.

It has three parts: the flange, an inner ring for mounting the mosquito net, and a plug.
After printing all parts, glue the mosquito net onto the ring, then epoxy glue the ring to the flange at an elevation such that the plug still goes in far enough to hold. Once glue has dried, remove the screws from the installed vent in the Westy.

When you have the vent screws removed take the opportunity to climb on the roof (can be easily reached through the main skylight) to clean the seal, check that the o-ring is still in good shape etc.

Now insert the assembled flange + net into the original flange, and put screws back in place. Be careful not to overtighten the screws lest the hull may get undue stress.
