This is a drying rack I designed for wet plate photos, although I imagine it should work with dry plates as well. I've put anywhere from a little 3x3 sample of aluminum up to a 5x12 glass plate on it without issue. The design is based on an antique wooden drying rack, but with a lot of material removed to make it better suited for 3D printing.
There are four pieces, two sides and two platforms, and the platforms should simply slide into the slots on the sides. The whole thing disassembles and lays down flat by just pulling it apart, and you can customize it to your needs. The FreeCAD file is included and the design is almost fully parametric, so you can adjust the side width, the gaps between the top and bottom of the platforms and the sides, the gap between the platforms, the length of the platforms, the size of the teeth, and the amount of the platforms that gets cut out. If you find the fit of the pieces to be too snug or too loose, you can adjust the tolerance as well.
