The Sony WH-1000XM4 has a very fiddly touch panel. Just sitting on a hard surface can cause spurious touch events which enable/disable unwanted features such as Speak to Chat, or play/pause.

This guard limits touch events to only the areas you're likely to use for play/pause, track advance and volume.
