In the last Christmas vacation my youngest daughter soldered this little project together based on a kit by Whadda: https://whadda.com/product/madlab-electronic-kit-whack-a-mole-wsg111/
It works well, but playing with the bare PCB (with sharp wires sticking out) and a battery dangling loose didn't sit well with my designer's heart. So I made it into a real toy using some 3D printing.
A video of the game in use is here: https://youtu.be/1v6iJLkG3xE
The switch is this model from AliExpress: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/4000169106856.html
Two M3 screw inserts were used for the mounting of the frame to the outer shell. These are 5x5, so 5 mm diameter, 5 mm deep.
The screws are two M3 6 mm button head.
