My son's quad was quite old, so I decided to give it a full restoration to make it even more fun to ride. I designed and 3D printed modular wheels: the central part is made of PETG for strength, while the outer tread is made of TPU, which can be easily replaced when worn out. I also created new TPU grips to improve handling and comfort during use. The driving wheels feature a removable gear: if it gets worn or damaged over time, there’s no need to reprint the entire rear wheel—just the gear itself. This solution helps reduce both material costs and waste over time.
