Wildlife-Safe Slug Trap – Simple

This is a simple slug trap I designed for use in the garden. The idea is to keep the bait well out of reach of pets and wildlife, while still being easy for slugs to get to.To reach the bait, a slug has to enter the trap and travel right to the back of the internal chamber. Birds, hedgehogs, pets, etc. can’t reach the bait, which makes it a much safer option than open trays or pellets scattered on the ground.The lid keeps rain off the bait and helps it last longer. The low entrance sits at ground level so slugs can get in easily.There are two small fixing tabs on the body so the trap can be secured to the soil if needed.
