My entry for the Thingiverse #CatchTheWind.
I'v been always fascinated about green energy, for the sole reason that is free. After I bought my 3D printer a Vertex Velleman K8400 kit assembled in a 2 days (a good challenge) without any engineering background. I was playing around whit the idea and downloaded a few wind mill designs and printed them. Found a couple nice ones, but I wasn't entirely happy whit them, so I started learning AutoCad (trial) to design my own, started whit the blades.... after a lot of research and beginner tutorials came out whit a relay satisfying blade design, that runs on the smallest breeze, and went from there on to create a body that can contain a dc motor for generating electricity, made it big enough to fit a couple of gears and a solar collector on top for ambient lighting(bought a cheap solar garden light and incorporated the parts) . The "shark fin" tail gives extra sensibility to wind direction also counters the the front weight whit pushing
