Winding Paddle

A quick and dirty design for something to wind yarn on. I take care of a family member with dementia, and sometimes it's helpful for her to have something to do as a distraction from an unwanted behavior or fixation. This and a length of yarn will keep her busy for a few minutes and redirect her mind. I usually tell her the cats have unwound some yarn downstairs, and bring her an end of the yarn tired to the paddle, asking if she'd please wind it up for me again. If you've got a family member with dementia, you might give this a try. It's actually not bad for winding things around if you have the need. Now if I could just get her to wind a Tesla secondary for me...
