Window Handle Cover Plate

After 20 years the plastic cover plates of all my window handles broke. The cause was poor material choice, plastic can't take UV this long, it should have been made out of metal. The manufacturer did not have any spare part, and adviced me to replace all my 10+ handles (!).
Instead, I designed a replacement part that prints in under 10 mins, and costs under 10 cents. Such a simple design saves me hundreds of euros. It had to be made out of two halves, since the window handle can not be taken apart, another design flaw. A drop of glue holds the parts in place. The part number is 9-36569.
Maybe this inspires you if you have a comparable problem. I included the SCAD file so you can modify the part to your needs.
