It's funny... I've been fiddling with electronics for years but have never actually gotten round to getting one of those "extra hands" thingamabobs to help with soldering. Oh, the contortions I've gone though when I've regularly run out of digits!

Yes, I could easily buy a set for very little... but I haven't yet, and where's the fun in that if I can make something?

Wire Bird? Because I had to give it a name and the example.stl file looks a bit like a bird.

Use?
The purpose should be obvious; to hold wires while soldering, or similar. Wire Bird comes in an array of parts:
-Base.stl is the, um, base. The cunning bit here is that it has a well for, well things like flux or solder, or whatever. It also has room for up to six attachments if you really want. The more cunning bit is the well in the middle will also fit a standard AA batteriey so doubling as a holder while also being a convenient way to weigh
