Wire Shelf Additional Shelf Brackets

These are brackets for adding additional shelves to the Home depot/Lowes type wire shelf systems that use 1" tubes.

I have some equipment I was trying to organize and the Home Depot HDX 54 in. H x 36 in. W x 14 in. D 4-Tier Wire Shelving Unit just didn't have enough shelves. I had some plywood laying around that would make great shelves, so I drew up and printed these brackets.

There are 2 styles.

The add a shelf bracket will let you add shelves to an existing unit without dismantling it.

The build a shelf brackets will let you add shelves to a unit when you build it. The advantage of this one is that it only requires one bolt and the 'ears' do not extend past the footprint of the unit. It also only requires one bolt.

Both types use 1/4"-20 x .75" long bolts. The build a shelf ones are a little tight to put on, but slide down pretty easy if you keep the ears seperated a little bit.

I printed mine in standard PLA and it works just fine.
