I experimented a little myself and came up with this "wireframe" version of a hexaspericon.
It prints in little over an hour, weighs about 8 grams and rolls (almost) just like a real hexasphericon. It should be able to assemble by just snapping the peices together.
It rolls just like a real hexaspericon, only somewhat less smooth. I think this is because it is actually a bit tricky to get the points of the half-circles to align properly, and because the tapered angle is 45deg instead of 60deg or higher. (I did this for printability)
Any tips to improve are much welcome!
