I wanted a status monitor for my printer that is battery operated, and wireless. So I could glance over and have a clue that the printer needs some attention. Something that I could have in the kitchen, outside, … wherever I am. without being rude checking my phone constantly.It runs on 4 AA batteries, that are easily changeable. My test have had it running for more than 10 hours on battery. Or you can plug in a USB cable.There is a solid cap and a ring cap that allows the usb power to be used and the unit held together. The solid top is almost water resistant. It is not meant to replace the phone app. More to give you a clue to check the printer, or go check the problem.It does require you to wire a few things together.
