Makes
A base for a ESP32-C3 and led ring to turn your Napstablook light into a smart wled light.
Parts:
ESP32-C3 (Check the picture to make sure you grab the right one)
16 Bits 5050 Rgbw SK6812 Led Ring (~45mm)
Assembly:
1. Remove the power LED from the ESP32-C3 module
If you skip this step, there will be a faint red light that stays on.
2. Solder the LED module to the ESP32-C3
Try to keep the wires nice and short to avoid shadows.
Connections:
GND → G
5V DC → 5V
Data Input → 2
4. Flash the WLED firmware to the ESP32-C3
After flashing, configure the right LED type in the WLED web interface and test to ensure everything works as it should.
5. Glue the ESP32-C3 in place .
I used hot glue so it can still be removed easily if something ever breaks.
6. Glue the LED module in place.
