I decided to make a custom enclosure to mount an ESP32 module on a terminal board 38-pins.I added an LM2596 DC-DC converter to supply a stable 5V only for the ESP32, since the LED strip I’m using is a WS2815 running on 12V.I also included an INMP441 digital microphone for WLED, with a dedicated spot and an opening so it can capture sound better. For connecting the external 12V power input and the signal lines to the LED strip, I decided to use WAGO terminals for quicker and easier wiring. The enclosure is printed from PLA.The screw holes for the top cover are designed to fit M3 brass threaded inserts.
