Wolff wide clamp

This is my version of a wide clamp for the Wolff Twice-as-Sharp scissor sharpening system. this is for sharpening chisels or plane irons. I didnt want to pay the ~$80 for the factory clamp.

modifications:

This clamp is 1" wider than the standard narrow clamp.

Added a small reference shoulder to keep the blade or chisel vertical.

There is an additional shallow hole for a 1/4-20 screw to help prevent the jaw from racking

The original adjuster screw had an oblong hole, but this is changed to a tight fitting hole to further prevent racking.

There is a provision for a section of 5mm smooth rod to act as a guide rail.



Parts needed

~2" of 3/16" dowel but i used a cut down drill bit. This is the part that rides in the angle adjuster.
1/4-20 tap to cut threads for the screw that holds the jaw together and the thickness adjusting screw
10-32 tap for the angle locking bolt
