I needed a light for my work area and also needed a fan to help extract solder fumes, so I decided to try and make both of them with some stuff I had laying around so this may never be used by anyone but myself but Im gonna throw it up here anyway. The whole project consists of 3 pieces, the base, the lights and the fan. The base is powered by an ESP32, my version has a power switch, two switches for the lights/fan and a potentiometer to control light brightness. I will include the files with a blank panel so you can adjust the layout to whatever you need. For the light I wanted something that was easily adjustable movement-wise as I'm constantly readjusting stuff in my work area and I don't want to have to make room to have the light as well. I had an extra boom arm from my old microphone and decided to use that as the starting point for the light, its easily movable, and I can completely get it out of the way if need be. The light itself consists of 35 LED's in essentially a ring light like pattern. I put an M5 hole in the inside of the light to attach something, currently I only have a mount designed for a 3D camera I had lying around, but again I will include the files with blank attachment that you can design your own. The fan I'm using just a random 120v fan I had laying around. As for the setup it's pretty straightforward, the ESP32 controls the LED strips and a relay that completes the circuit for the fan. If anybody cares to make the same sort of setup I have going on, I'll have a longer write-up in a PDF within the Documents section. I'll avoid making this wall of text any bigger.
