This is a stand for working on Regish Shu's Spider Robot. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1009659 I needed something that would hold it well clear of my desk while I worked on coding it's movement. It's kind of hard debugging a robot walk when the thing keeps trying to run off the desk or crashing into the monitor.
The 4 uprights clip into the lower part of the robot so it won't fall off, even at full run, and it's a tall enough stand to give the legs plenty of space to flail about.
I decided not to remove the supports or brim as this gives the stand some more rigidity and weight. it's kind of rough and ready, but it does the job without using too much filament.
If you do want to remove the supports & brims, the thin wall triangular sections that touch the bed were just put there to stop the inclined rods curling UP as they cooled, fouling the printer nozzle. So in theory they can be removed. It holds up my 1.5 kilo spidebot OK, but I can't vouch for heavier models.
