The wait is over. This is the Stargate Atlantis model from my published video.

There are no motors required for this model. However there are approximately 130 NeoPixel/RGB LED's. The exact number of LED's will depend how many you use in the base. The steps, side panels and rear window can have as many as you're comfortable with. Below is a table indicating how many I've used.

Gate inner = 36
Gate outer = 27
Steps = 6,6,5,5,4,4,3,3
Side front = 3,3
Side middle = 3,3
Top = 5
Rear window = 15

I've connected them up as three circuits to the Arduino - Gate Inner, Gate Outer, Base.

The side panels include cut outs for cables. There are two optional panel covers. A solid cover which continues the pattern of the panel and fits from the inside and is designed for the cut out you don't intend to use. An 'air vent' panel, which as the name suggests looks like an air vent. It fits from the outside and allows for easy fitting and removal. I think it looks good when the model is n
