Worm and Wheel

Worm and wheel modeled in Inventor. worm has a standard 1/4" hex drive a la electric screwdriver on it. Holder clamps worm and wheel together at just the right spacing. Drawing shows the appropriate spacing if you wish to model your own housing for use on projects.

Note: when placing the worm on the table it is best to place the little skinny pegs facing down - they break off with the support but they do trick the slicer into putting the worm threads above the first layer allowing the full thread form to be formed. Also use a raft with this component otherwise the lower threads will have no support and will be incomplete.
