This mini-project was created by me as a study of creating gear drawings in Fusion 360. But for now, the project can be used as a visual aid or to test the accuracy of printing worm and helical gears.
The project contains only 5 parts.
Three parts must be 3D printed:
1. Main plate
2. Helical gear
3. Worm gear
Two parts are metal axles:
1. Helical gear axle - 6mm long
2. Worm gear axle - at least 40mm long
All holes are made for axles with a diameter of 2mm and contain tolerances of 0.2mm. I made the axis of the helical gear from a nail with a diameter of 2mm. The head of the nail serves as the top-stop. The worm gear axle made from a 2mm wire and much longer than 40mm. I bent the rest of the axis in the form of a grip and glued the axle inside the worm gear.
