Horizontal mount that can be printed with no supports.
Batteries that are known to fit: US models WA3525, WA3575 and WA3669.
I printed several other holders, and even the ones that said they were for US models would not hold my 20V Worx PowerShare batteries. Some were way too tight. Some wouldn't let the battery slide all the way on because the "key" on my batteries was too long.
Inspiration for this design came from https://www.printables.com/model/341697-worx-powershare-20v-battery-holder-horizontal
This design addresses all the issues I found.
- The battery rests on the backstop, not on the tips of the rails. This keeps the rails short and prevents binding.
- An aperture in the backstop permits any length key (as long as it fits in the window), allowing the battery to slide all the way on.
- The front brace acts as a latch, keeping the design simple.
- Both mounting holes are easily accessible.
- Uses a minimal amount of filament.
I printed mine with a 0.8mm nozz
