I did the following changes to the ELO base:
-Removed the holder for the ESC power cap
-enlarged the hole for the servo arm
-removed parts from the front to have a better access to the servo horn screw.

I never saw a WPL to brushless outrunner conversion. I did it, and I’m very happy.
I’m using:
- Ezrun 18A ESC
- Jamara AL1022
- Flysky RX
- HK15148B
- HXT500
- 2S Lipo
- Full metal driveshaft
- Modified 2 speed GBX
- 3D printed ELO base, wheel extension, shock mounts,… check out my profile
- Modified stock shocks
- Wheels filled with lead
- ….
I used a „tuning“ brushed motor, but wanted all the advantages of a brushless motor and the complex configuration option in BL ESC’s (like initial/auto brake, start up modes, voltage control,….). I designed a motor adapter to fit the AL1022, reduced the shaft diameter to fit the stock pinion and designed a perfect ELO base to fit an
