The floating design allows the tube to move freely inside the clip, preventing strain. I've had these clips installed on my printer for a year, and they’ve never broken or unclipped, even when running at Ludicrous mode. Make sure the PTFE tube length is properly adjusted to avoid putting too much stress on the clips. They hold well, but if the tube is routed incorrectly, they may deform slightly depending on the material used.
