It can be configured to externalize 1,2,or 4 relays to terminal strips.These relay board are quite available and relatively cheap usually less that 5 USD.

I find them cheaper that getting a single or dual XBee relay boards so just using them for one relay makes economic sense.

parts:

relay module: "Deek-Robot" relay shield v1.3 (sold by many)
this is normally used as a Arduino shield but my use is only for
the Xbee to control up to 4 relays.

terminal strips:
for 2 or 4 relays NTE 25-B100-6 (amazon has this as a "add on")
for single relay NTE 25-B100-3

fuse holders:
generic 5x20 fuse holder (amazon 10 pack)

Screws: M3
