I love the Braap design but after flying it for over a year I have been doing small tweaks to the original canopy, to make it stronger and less prone to break after too many crashes:
- Reinforced interior: the front walls are 2mm thicker
- Reinforced corners: added small rounded bumpers to both top corners of the canopy, to make it less prone to snap while carrying an HD camera. Sometimes, the camera's strap would cut the filament since that area was too thin.
- Larger strap area: to be able to accommodate strong kevlar straps for the HD camera, the holes are now a bit taller and wider.
- FPV camera hole marks: probably the weakest point of the canopy are the FPV camera holes. A few lines aligned to the holes always tended to be a bit weaker, may because of the support? Unsure. The hole marks will be noticeable enough for you to drill. I recommended heating the drill bit to make perfect holes through the plastic.
- Cut out back: sometimes, the back part of the canopy would put pre
