I designed this bed leveling guide in response to the one I have been using for while now which was just squares inside of squares. Overall, it worked OK, but if you were adjusting the bed height on the fly like I do, you end up making adjustments while the nozzle is moving away from you, and this makes it hard to judge your changes until it comes all the way around.
With the small circles in the corners, you can see very quickly how any adjustments take, and then have a few extra passes just to make sure. The centered X also points right to the likely location of the middle of your next print, just to make sure that everything is good to go.
This is designed with my Wanhao (Maker Select) i3 in mind, so the overall dimensions are about 190mm square.
