UPDATE: I just replaced my 12V power supply for a 24V and therefore could increase the acceleration to 10000mm/s/ and X Y speed to 400mm/s without loosing steps !
Definitely, 24V should be the norm.
This is a simple GCODE test of the X Y axis. Speed ranges from 100mm/s to 400mm/s. Max displacement is 200mm. Edit the file if necessary.
In the config, set max speed to 400mm/s and acceleration to 6m/s/s to start. You can try 10m/s/s for 24V supply.
Ex in RRF: M203 X18000.00 Y18000.00 ; Set maximum speeds (mm/min)
M201 X6000.00 Y6000.00 ; Set accelerations (mm/s^2)
The stl is just to meet Thingiverse requirement.
