Hi everybody!I made this simple tolerance test to help me make better and more precise designs in the future: by knowing the exact capabilities of my printer in terms of tolerance, I can account for it in my CAD program from the beginning. The top half of this test model contains 10 small columns that can rotate on their axis: they are shaped like a hourglass to prevent them from slipping out. The small protrusions at the top act as handles, allowing you to turn the single columns to see how much resistance the different tolerances make. Tolerance is measured in 1/100s of a millimeter and ranges from 0,05mm (tighter) to 0,5mm (looser). The bottom lines are designed to give an idea of how small a gap the printer can make (and how consistent). Same goes for the small holes.
