Yoda Bookend Base

This is a remix of the base for the Yoda Bookend. After trying several different alterations I finally came up with one that looked right (based on the pic in the original) and can be printed.

I widened the piece to give it more surface area for supporting a full size hardback book. I also thickened it by 2mm to give it more strength. The vertical piece needs to remain as thin as possible so as to "hide it " from sight to give the illusion that Yoda is using the force on it. To give it more strength I added a permanent support on the back side which is out if view. I originally kept the piece that the books set on original but quickly realized that there was nothing to stop the book from sliding off. So I shortened it and designed a small catch so that it holds on to the book cover to keep it in place.

I print with PETG but other filaments would work as well.

100% infill with a brim and no supports. Print just like it is shown.
