This is the Z adjustment wheel I designed for my DIY drill press to mill conversion.
I started with a functional plastic prototype, and then milled out a steel one using the DIY mill with the plastic prototype.
Very comfortable on the fingers; it just makes you want to use it!
In my application I threaded the center to 1/2" UNF (20tpi) to match the lead screw.
I believe it would work for UNC thread as well. also this could be used as an adjustment knob at the end of a shaft as well.
If you like my work, please hit "like" and check out my other uploads as well.
I have also included the FCStd file as well, in case you need to edit the dimensions for your application. FCStd is the native FreeCAD working file format.
