A remix of the Nema 17 cooler by Ente246. My rig has a z-axis stepper motor bracket and damper that interferes with cooling and as a result the motor gets very hot.
I tried https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3041691 but the mount doesn't expose enough of the motor surface to have any effect.
Therefore I decided to modify Ente246's design by removing the mounting holes used to attach to the top of the stepper motor, and replacing with holes spaced for t-nuts that can be mounted on the Ender 3 4040 Extrusion.
Update (05/02/2021): The original bracket was much too deep and took longer than needed to print, also the tail piece was too long and actually snapped off when I was trying to remove the supports. I used meshmixer to make some plane cuts to reduce the depth and then used Tinkercad to make some final changes. I also uploaded to Netfabb to fix any mesh issues and ensure the design was watertight.
The pictures are of the new version and it is installed and keeping my z-a
