Most deltas have some amount of effector tilt as the head moves around the print surface, so a Z sensor that is offset from the nozzle will introduce errors due to tilt.
This sensor has zero X and Y offset, which means that effector tilt doesn't affect the measured Z value.
It automatically deploys and retracts, and seems to work very well.
| Specification | |
| -------------- :| -------------|
| Deployment | Automatic |
| Bed surface | Compatible with all bed surfaces |
| Bed preparation | None |
| Sensing method | Physical touch probe, which triggers an optical sensor |
