Zoetrope - Working Animation Device

The zoetrope is a device you likely have never heard of but was pivotal in the creation of the movie projector. It works through a phenomenon called "persistence of vision". Basically, when you spin the drum around fast enough, the images within blur together creating an animation.You will need the following: A 3D Printer, Filament, and two 22mm (Outside Diameter) by 8mm (Inside Diameter) Ball bearings.The provided PDF file has a magician animation in it, scaled to the dimensions of 1in by 8.7in. I have provided a picture with multiple animations to choose from, but they will need to be scaled individually to the dimensions above. Cut each one of the pictures out and glue them to the solid parts of the inside of the drum.You can use your own animations, or find more on the web, just make sure they are scaled correctly and contain 12 pictures!Put the ball bearings into the provided slots on the underside of the "knob" and the bar connected to the drum. Place in the slots provided in the base. When spun fast enough, the images will blend together creating the animation. However, if spun too fast the animation can go too quickly and ruin the illusion.Have fun playing around with this!
