2x3 Overflow

Designed this for my 35 gallon reef tank in conjunction with a powerhead to help when I move things arounds and stir up the bed. This way I can turn off my main filter (eheim pro3) and let this filter pull the suspended material out of the water column. I use a 375 gph powerhead on the bottom mounted upside down to pull water through the filter back into tank. You'll have to drill your own hole to suit your specific brand of powerhead. I use 6 layers of fine filter floss to for filtering with no carbon. If your power head has an air adapter use it as the bubbles produced are very fine and you can mount it at such a height it removes protein from the water as well as surface skims. Saltwater fish aren't crazy about the bubbles so I do not use it for extended periods of time. I design did to be pretty thick for durability. Good luck and I'm open to suggestions for improvement.
