The [RF-600D LED Ring Light](https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01M72JILY/) comes with multiple adapters to mount the ring light on the lens. But if the adapter is mounted on the lens, it is not possible to attach the lens cap to protect the lens (when the camera is not in use).

This thing / adapter uses the outer mounting mechanism for the lens hood, instead of the internal thread for e.g. IR filter from the lens. Thus, filters and the lens cap can still be used.
