anet a8 magnetic lift z axis

I have NOT been able to make this part function properly yet. Just wanted to put that out there first to be clear with anyone interested. The magnets do lift the entire setup. Motor included but the issue Ive been having is that everything wants to bounce. I have tried springs,foam,rubber bands,and a few other useless non working tricks and have not been able to crack the code so to speak.
I believe the best use for this setup would be
