Hi@all
For my CTC printer I found the urgent requirement for an illumination. So I ordered some meters of these pretty cheap LED stripes from a china dealer (3€ for 5 meters, which are 300 LEDs!) and constructed a holder around these stripes.
The plate can be turned for optimum illumination or maintanance or making photos ;-) It is 30cm x 3.2cm, which gives room for 4 stripes á 18 LEDs.
The LEDs can be switched together to operate on 12V, 24V (my case) or even 48V.
I measured a power consumption of around 6W.
The screws are intended to be M3 type.
The 4 mounting holes on the printer have following distances to each other:
Hole | 24.7mm | Hole | 132.3mm | Hole | 24.7mm | Hole
Due to the size of the plate, the side part must be printed 2 times.
The axles for the hinges are just pieces of 1.75mm filament.
Have fun!
