Measuring around five meters long, it was protected by bony plates and spikes covering its body, along with a formidable tail club used for defense against predators. Its broad skull was decorated with distinctive conical osteoderms, giving it a unique appearance among North American ankylosaurs. Fossils suggest close evolutionary ties with Asian relatives, indicating ancient dinosaur dispersal between continents.
