Made a travel case for my wonderful 8BitDo N30 Pro 2 controller.
Now I can toss it in my luggage or suitcase and not have to worry about the buttons being pushed and the controller being turned on accidentally, or damaging it.
I printed the outer shells of the case in PLA, and the thin internal padding inserts in TPU to prevent any scratches if the controller moves around in the case. With the inserts, it fits very well and doesn't move around.
For the latch I used 2 round strong neodimium magnets that I got cheap from Amazon. They are 8mm in diameter and around 1.8mm thick. A drop of superglue in each of the latch pockets holds them in place.
For the hinges I used a couple small pieces of PETG filament, but ABS could also work. Then put a small drop of superglue on each end to lock them in place.
