So, I ended up keeping the boxes and the foam that the pinecil and the extra (short) tips came in after having bought them as it seemed like the best method to store them with at the time. I then remembered that I knew how to use CAD and made a simple model that incorporate the included foam that my pinecil (v1) and the extra tips came in.The simplicity of the case was inspired by the case that you get with the Mako Ifixit kit, and I therefore designed it so that you could press 4x2mm neodymium magnets into the holes in the corners of both parts of the case so that they stay together nicely. So far it has worked really well for me as it enabled me to bring the pinecil, and its accessories, with me onto rooftops for soldering solar panel wiring… And I hope that it comes to use for someone else as it has for me.
