This is optical encoder disk with parametric design, so you can choose slit size, radius of the disk and type of axle hole. Maybe you will prefer to lasercut those slits and holes, it will be wise. 8 bit is a typical 256 position encoder that means it have 8 circles of these slits, in small model it hard to print or mill last rings.
