Use this model as a hidden valley in your diorama or for you wargaming table. The underlying concept is that of a group of igneous lava pipes that have cooled slowly and have ultimately become eroded - this is the physical concept behind a tessellated pavement.
This is a 10% scale model of the set that I used for my video clip https://youtu.be/MENpbfTeKBE.
If required, use a sculpting program to add detail. As an alternative, add detail using model-making techniques. Print this at whatever scale you need for your setting.
For the print shown in the main image, I printed the model at a high layer thickness and left on the printing brim. I spray painted the model using rattle-cans in various shades.
