I made this for a teacher as a gift for the members of her book club (grades 4 and 5). They read Amulet, Vol. 1: The Stonekeeper by Kazu Kibuishi. The design is loosely based on the amulet in the book.
The Amulet Book Series of fantasy graphic novels is now 7 volumes and counting. It is being developed as a TV series by Fox. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amulet_(comics)
I printed them in gold and red PLA, print time was 20 mins for both pieces (about 11 cents worth of plastic). The two pieces fit together snugly but I used a bit of glue to make a stronger bond between them.
